In early 2012, I'm excited to teach once again with Songwriter's Beat/NewSongs Workshops! There will be four Wednesday songwriting workshops focusing on new songs; I'll be leading two classes (January 18 and 25) and Mary Lee Kortes will be leading two (on February 1 and 8).

Past Workshops:

• December 9-16, 2011: I taught a popular music songwriting class at Middlesex University in London, thanks to an invitation from Julian Marshall. It was a treat to spend time in the U.K. and work with Julian’s wonderful students.
• May 2010: 12 Songs with Julian Marshall, May 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2010, in Totnes, England. This three-day course for 13 songwriters included a "master class" session and culminated in a "Big Gig" at The Ariel Centre, Totnes. 2010 marked the third 12 SONGS course that Julian Marshall has run. The first two were among the most enjoyable song writing course work he has done, and he was delighted to have Deborah Berg co-present this year.
• Deborah presented an ASCAP-sponsored songwriting workshop through Feel The Music/Songwriters' Beat in November 2009.
