Deborah Co-Produces Songwriter's Beat Festival and Judges Songwriting Contest

Here's the good word, straight from Deborah:

"Hey you fabulous songwriters - How about a nice, healthy contest to get your musical blood circulating?! Cheap to enter! Quality judges! And a chance to perform in NYC in July at Cornelia Street Cafe! What are you waiting for? I'll be there, so there you go! All the details are below."

2010 Songwriter's Beat - Feel the Music! Songwriting Contest
"Contest for a Cause"

Artists from a wide variety of genres are encouraged to submit their best songs for a chance to perform at the 6th Annual Songwriter's Beat Festival, July 22-24, 2010.

* Five finalists will be announced on July 6, 2010
* The three winners will be announced July 12, 2010 (these winners will go on to perform at the festival and receive prizes)


Prizes include a $1000 Martin Guitar, a prix fixe dinner for two to the renowned Cornelia Street Cafe, and more to be announced soon.

All song submission fees go directly to support Feel the Music! *

WHO: Contest open to ALL SONGWRITERS around the WORLD!!
WHAT: Songs considered in the following categories: A Capella, Acoustic, Alternative, Americana, Bluegrass, Blues, Country, Folk, Funk, Gospel, Jam Band, Jazz, Latin, Pop, Reggae, Rock, Singer/Songwriter, Soul, R&B, and World.
WHEN: Submission deadline is midnight June 27, 2010. Enter as many songs as you like!
WHERE: Submissions accepted through SonicBids only. If you're not a SonicBids member, you can create a temporary membership to submit your song(s), you don't have to be a full member to participate in this contest.

*Feel the Music! is a nonprofit organization which brings music and inspiration to children, families and adults impacted by trauma, loss or illness. Founded in 2005 to serve 9/11 families, Feel the Music! now partners with hospitals, a summer camp for teens impacted by terrorism, WTC responders, public schools and offers concerts, workshops, lessons, performance and recording opportunities, retreats, music mentoring, teacher training programs and opportunities for international exchange.
